Bush further to the political right and his suspected intervention in amending the Americans With Disabilities Act to exclude people with AIDS from certain protections elsewhere in the bill, a massive demonstration by ACT UP/New York at NIH, the closure of the National AIDS Network following serious financial problems, the last party at popular black gay club The Clubhouse, a pledge from D.C. mayoral candidate Delegate Walter Fauntroy to provide ''strong moral leadership' to combat anti-Gay violence', a look at the politics of alcohol control reform in Virginia, updates on gay- and AIDS-related bills in Congress, coverage of the Seventh International AIDS Candlelight Memorial in D.C., final approval for Arlington (VA) public schools' sex education curriculum reform, a list of AIDS drug trials recruiting participants in the D.C. area, book and arts reviews including a look at the AIDS film 'Longtime Companion', a look at gay life in Copenhagen (Denmark) and travel advice for tourists visiting there, and ads for gay-friendly businesses, events, and groups.
